“I give back because public schools are expected to accomplish so much with so little, so why not take the step to accomplish more with more?
The WAPS Foundation is the worker bee, always working hard in the background. That impact wasn’t visible to me when I was a student! Now as an adult, through things like social media and newsletters, I’ve been able to see first-hand the impact that my dollars make when I give back.
As a student, I remember taking a field trip to the Mayo Clinic Career Day, which I recently learned was made possible by a Foundation grant. Flash forward to today, and I’ve been a nurse for 13 years! So many at WAPS made an impact on my life, and I choose to give back to current students in honor of those who helped me along the way.”
