In line with its commitment to philanthropy and its dedication to giving back to the communities it serves, Fastenal has donated to the Foundation for Winona Area Public Schools for grant opportunities throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
To support the general Grants Program, Fastenal contributed to the Foundation’s General Fund. Throughout the year, grant funding includes but is not limited to: field trips, guest presenters, learning enhancement opportunities, and student leadership programs within Winona Area Public Schools. When normal district budget is unable to cover a project or initiative in its entirety, any WAPS employee has the opportunity to apply for a grant, but the applicant must follow the Foundation’s grant guidelines.
In addition, Fastenal committed a portion of its total gift to the Foundation’s annual “Dare to Dream” grant opportunity. Each year, the Foundation supports innovation and creativity by offering WAPS employees the opportunity to apply for one $5,000 “Dare to Dream” grant. Applicants do not need to follow typical grant guidelines, but the project or initiative must benefit WAPS students. Fastenal’s gift allows the Foundation to offer a second “Dare to Dream” grant for the 2024-2025 school year.
